Q: How high do floating docks float in the water?
A: Our docks float at a constant 12 to 16 inches above the surface of the water depending on the float size.

Q: Are your docks appropriate for not only mooring boats, but swimming and fishing too?

A: You will find our docks are amazingly stable platforms for swimming (add a ladder) for fishing (add a bench seat or your favorite easy chair) and also for mooring a boat (add cleats and perhaps fenders). This dock can help you be a better fisherman too as it will definitely get you further out into the lake where the big ones lurk!

Q: What about Sea Plane docks - can you guys give me a spot to tie up after I shut down?
A: We do them for Sea Planes both big and small - a C172 on floats in the pictures as well as a C185

Q: What maintenance needs to be performed on these docks?
A: Very little to no maintenance is required. We find it adds a finished and professional look to add a coat of deck sealer once a year.

Q: I need to get out at least 40 feet from the shoreline to get to usable boating and swimming water depth. How?
A: EASY! The hinge at from 4 to 10 feet in length depending upon expected water level fluctuations and 2  16 foot sections attached with our robust galvanized  hardware and you have a dock reaching 40 plus feet out to deep water.

Q: Leave it in the water for winter??? How does that work?
A: It works very well! No more dragging docks in and out in winter and spring. No more stacking them up and turning them over for winter and standing in cold water to put them out and drag them in! Our docks float on the top 6 or 8 inches of water and when that water freezes, the specially designed floats just freeze into the ice. When the ice begins to thaw, the water around the floats melts first (as they are black) and the dock is floating again! This is a better idea for all! If you are on a big lake where wind swept ice is an issue, pull sections onto shore for winter or cable loosely to shore for winter.

Q: My shoreline is all rocks - some too big to even move! Can you install a dock on my site?
A: Absolutely! When huge rocks are present, we use them as anchors to the shore. Check the gallery for pictures of this system in use.
